More Good News in Natural Deodorants

A paper in the current issue of the Journal of Applied Toxicology indicates that parabens, preservative chemicals found in most underarm deodorants and other body care products, have been detected in human breast tumors.

These research scientists in Britain found 18 out of 20 tumors studied contained parabens, oestrogen compounds closely related to the female hormone estrogen that has been previously linked to incidence of breast cancer.

While the base of the research is oestrogen action in breast cancer cells and firstly looks at an oestrogenic chemical first. However, the paper’s researcher, Dr. Philippa D. Darbre, Senior Lecturer in Oncology at the University of Reading stats that there are potentially many problematic ingredients in underarm cosmetics.

The good news in all this is that there is no reason for a woman to increase her exposure to this potentially deadly chemical when there are paraben-free alternatives out there.

FloralActive Natural Deodorants' formulations are so close to nature as possible. It does not contain petrochemicals, sodium laurel and laureth sulfates. No animals by-products and it is not test on animals.

FloralActive deodorants are paraben-free. Other methods for preservation such as grapefruit seed extract is used.
