While the author provides examples from other industries (not spa or skin care products), the tactics she highlights can be transferred to any industry.  And, It all starts with differentiation.

The $640M dollar question?  But how do you differentiate a product (or service) that's almost completely undifferentiated?

This is a subject that always causes anxiety, but it doesn’t need to. As we’ve discussed previously in this blog, very few products today stand out as being superior. As much as you probably love your iPhone, there are lots of folks who still swear by their BlackBerry or Android.
