Blooming Pots of Sugar Cookies! Easter Cookie Pots

These blooming pots of sugar cookies create a wonderful decoration, especially suited for the celebration of Easter as thank you, hostess or Easter gifts.  If you are hosting this year, place them in the hallway or mantle for a bright welcome and parting gift to your delicious Easter Brunch!

What you'll need:
  1. Clay pots
  2. Potting soil
  3. Rye grass seed
  4. Sugar cookie dough and icing
  5. Bamboo skewers
  6. Cellophane treat bags
  7. Ribbon or twist ties

Blooming Pots:
  • Roll your sugar cookies extra thick, cut out and place on a baking sheet.
  • Press a bamboo skewer lightly into them before baking.
  • The skewer will bake into the dough, giving you a cookie on a stick.
Ice the cooled cookies and wrap in a cellophane bag and close tightly with ribbon or a twist tie and “plant” in the pots.
