You think you know branding?




Everyone talks about brand development.

There is so much information on the internet about branding, brand development, brand programs that one can write a book if you are inclined to gather all the content.  So why do all spas look alike? 

Most spas present themselves with the same lotus flower as part of their logo, same colors, even the same style of website, but how does this help the customer decide on which location to choose from?

To help your customer decide, you've decided to take on social media, you get on Twitter, Facebook and create a blog.  Great, now what?  You discover social media tactics are a lot more work than anticipated and you don't even know if you are doing it right.   

For most local spas, customer acquisition is usually based on referrals.  Then consider, do you really need to spend money on branding or social media programs or maybe you need to develop really good referral programs

It has been estimated that the average consumer has 14.1 Loyalty Programs and,
 
  1. Their value {loyalty programs} are increasing with the recession,
  2. "Good Customer Service" is deemed to be the single more important to encourage more spend.

Secrets to a Good Loyalty Program!


  1. Make your loyalty program easy to achieve or it will not be a success,
  2. Make your loyalty program relevant ~ it is not a free coffee if you are a spa,
  3. Active loyalty members are usually one of these demographics: women, young, living with children ~ does this sound like your target market?
This doesn't mean that you will be giving only discounts to your best customers or exclusively to these demographics. A great loyalty program shows your clients that you appreciate their business and the more they use your business, the more they rewards they will get.
