Beauty Pause: Junk Food

Get Ready For Spring:  Probably the worst "junk food" anyone can take is hydrogenated oil--margarine, hydrogenated peanut butter, shortening. These oils have undergone a chemical change which makes their structures unusable by the body. These oils clog up the digestive tract and bloodstream and cause many problems, including that oily skin that troubles you!

Eliminate them from your food diet and look for food products with natural oils (olive, safflower, almond, sesame--there are many choices for you to choose from, take advantage).

You'll see a real difference.

Enjoy!

Beauty Pause: Dry Skin

Dry Skin… The environment, including harsh winds, sunlight, and central heating removes moisture from the skin. But there is one...one more specific harm that comes from our increasing indulgence in our favorite daily ritual -  hot baths and long super warm showers!

The body just can’t take it.

Better to take quick, luke warm showers and follow with body butters or lotions with calming botanicals, omega rich oils and free-radical fighting vitamins (vitamins A, D. B, and C)!

Enjoy!

Patch-ooli Rose Soap with jojoba
Beauty Tip: Rose Geranium essential oil one of the most useful oils and smells wonderful. A popular skin treatment, geranium reduces inflammation, balances all complexion types and is said to delay wrinkling.

Why no try the Patchouli Rose Soap; it contains an intoxicating blend of essential oils of rose geranium and patchouli, which linger on your skin for hours.

Article: Treating oily skin

In this issue we continue with treating oily skin. Oily skin is worsened by hormone level fluctuations, emotional upset and stress. Alcohol-based products and harsh soaps will dry out the skin and in turn, activate the oil glands to produce more sebum. In fact, the more you strip your skin of natural sebum (oil), the more it will produce to compensate.

Take heed of products that contain mineral oil and other ingredients which are derivatives of petroleum, which can block pores and can lead to acne.

Balancing the skin is the key to healthy, radiant skin. This involves proper cleansing, moisturizing and perhaps a change in diet. It also requires patience to find the right products that works for you.

A light hydrating moisturizer that is excellent for all skin conditions, especially dry or oily skin. Floral Active Moisturizer has a soothing and calming effect on overactive sebacious glands. It is also rapidly absorbed and provides good protection against the drying effect of extreme climatic conditions. A best seller!

Floral Active Moisturizer is a good plant based moisturizer. Plant oils have much smaller molecules and they penetrate into the upper layers of the skin. This offers a longer term nourishing effect rather than simply sealing the moisture.
